Back in Sep/2006 during E&I Las Vegas Infolink announced a program called Value Sharing Partnership. We have since modified a few things to make the program simpler and easier to understand and we are now re-launching it under a new name:
Infolink Mentorship Program (IMP)
It has been a while since we last announced it, so we though it would make sense to remind you about it. The Infolink Mentorship Program is intended for new ICs that need extra help at the beginning, but it is also intended for more experienced IC tackling projects which may go beyond the IC’s own skillset or where the nature of a project requires a close partnership with the PC.
Here are the highlights of the IMP:
1. For projects developed under this program, the IC and Infolink go in as a team, we are in this together.
2. Infolink will assist the IC in gathering the business requirements of the project, including phone conferences with the customer.
3. Infolink will translate the Business Requirements into Technical Requirements, in order to then jointly (IC and Infolink) determine the end customer project cost.
4. Instead of a production cost to the IC, the revenue of the project is shared with the IC on a 50/50 basis. There is no need to worry about cost for concept drafts, flash animation, development drafts, or even custom work costs or additional production costs.
5. Infolink will generate the technical documentation that meets the business requirements of the project. Infolink will be responsible for developing the Functional Design documentation: Functional Design Report, Site Map, etc.
6. Infolink will be responsible for layout of the content of the site. However, the IC would still be responsible for gathering the content.
7. Infolink may participate in project reviews with the end customer over phone conferences and/or via other tools like gotomeeting.com or WebEx.com.
8. At the ICs request, Infolink can also train the end customer on the use of the backend (admin interface) of the web solution.
9. You'll also get direct access to production management and/or senior management.
At your discretion, you could decide to work under a the Infolink Mentorship Program model regardless of whether you are using our Regular Service or Preferred Service for production.
